Heyo,

Our group is still struggling on the fact that there is not enough moderators to keep it going and we have not got a single interested person over several months of waiting.
The current options are:

1) We magically get new suitable people interested being a mod (that's not going to happen at this point.)
2) We dramatically change how the group functions (even then we need more active mods, but maybe if we functioned differently it'd be more appealing for the mods?)
3) The group closes permanently (yay?)

What would you like DeviantFur's future to be like?
If less than 10 people comment here I'll take it as not even normal members are interested and the group permanently closes.

Indeed it would be quite sad, if the group dies. However, it seems that you really got new suitable people who are interested to be moderators, so thing are already looking good in my point of view. :) Hopefully you can find someone to help with the group! I would offer myself too, but I'm not sure if I'm suitable to be moderator.

I was unaware that the group was looking for mods. I'd throw my name into the mix, though I only have a little experience in managing a page.

I can help moderate. I run three other groups, #yyh-club, #emofuri and #from-our-minds. All three of those are really really casual and not something that really take up a lot of my time, so no concerns there. Just putting it out there that I've got experience with this sort of thing :)

I could try to help, but I won't be on all the time. I can try for a bit, if you'd like.

I'd love to help out as a moderator but simply just don't have enough time because of school ;__;

This is a very large group compared to most anthro groups, we shouldn't close!

I can moderate, dunno if I'm suitable or whatever but I can be pretty active pretty much every day of the week.

I can't help since I am already in the staff of ten groups (and I'm barely active there too  ^^'  ), but I hope this group won't close!

I'd love to become a mod but the only thing that's been keeping me from saying anything was school. And besides, there are people here who are hella more active than I am.

I would more than like to help the group as part of being a moderator. However, I can not guarantee I'll be active 24/7. I'm sure there are people who are much more active on here than me, but if it's like you said I don't think that more than a few new moderators can hurt.
Depends on what exactly do you want moderators to do if it's not only accepting/declining artwork.

As much as I would like to support this group more or even try to actively help as a mod, I don't think I am currently active or social enough to even consider it. I would not be a reliable part of the group, sorry. ^^'

Shutting the group down seems a bit extreme if you ask me o.o
I mean, you have about 8 mods to accept and decline art. (I don't suppose there are any mods listed in there that are inactive)
At anthroclub, with about the same number of members, we are currently 2 people who actively decline and accept art.
And I am not that active myself but whenever I come to DA, I accept and decline what I can and it seems to be enough. We rarely have expired requests.
(Might be because the members of the group aren't as active or because the system is different, idk. )

If what I can offer is enough as a help, I will gladly join as a mod, but as said: I am not THAT active.
Plus I wouldn't call myself being good at English XD not a native speaker.

Well I think if nothing else we can just do what we can. If we get overwhelmed, we can always take breaks from accepting submissions. It's better than shutting the whole thing down.

Wel what exactly are you looking for when you say "moderators"? If you mean accepting/declining artworks, then I could do that! I'm already taking care of two groups, but both are low-key with a few submissions every now and then so I can also squeez in another group.

If you mean moderating comments and answering questions, I could do that aswell, aslong as I get a clear "dos and dont's"

What exactly does a moderator do? o.o
I've only really submitted art into groups, never done anything else so, anyone care to explain?
If it's just about approving submitted art in the right folders and what not, I could do that maybe.

I have to be honest, I wasn't even aware there was a need for moderators for this group. I have had a couple months this past season where I was offline for an extended period and just deleted a bunch of journal entry notices without reading them though, so I probably missed the announcement.

With that aside, I have been a moderator/administrator on forums/IRC/other communities in the past, but never once on deviantart; What exactly would that entail for this specific group, in regards to duties/responsibilities? I might be interested in volunteering some time if I knew what exactly it required.

I am so sorry I haven't said anything since I fail at checking journals or alerts.
From what I see in your group I enjoy seeing the art you guys feature. I think nothing should change on the Gallery department.
When it comes to the Staff what is the requirements? I might be interested, but I am not sure.
